Who are we?

The Association of Self-Mobilized Citizens has as its objective to bring about the end of the civil war on Portuguese roads by promoting a social pact to increase safety and good citizenship in transportation. It proposes to defend the human and civic rights of Portuguese persons in transit, whether they are drivers, passengers or pedestrians. It aims to mobilize citizens and make them more responsible.

It also aims to mediate conflicts between citizens and the state and between private and collective interests, as well as to demand that public authorities and political, financial and economic agents be made liable in questions of safety, law enforcement, and traffic regulations.

Finally, ACA-M seeks to defend the quality of life and of the environment, and of sustainable development in a Portugal that has become an automotive society, by questioning, researching, discussing, and acting.
